Hyper connection insidiously sets in, fuels stress and exhausts individuals. Being always available is detrimental to mental health and reduces long-lasting performance. However, it is often by stopping that we become more efficient and more lucid.<\/p>\n<p>According to Mental Health Research Canada&#8217;s 2024 survey<a href=\"#_ftn1\"><span><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\">[1]<\/span><\/span><\/a>, 24% of Canadian employees report experiencing burnout &#8220;most of the time&#8221; or &#8220;always.&#8221; This figure is alarming. Respect the disconnection to perform better<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>You know the expression, &#8220;Have you tried turning it off and on again?&#8221; This principle also applies to humans, especially in the context of cognitive overload. Promoting disconnection improves concentration, reduces stress, and boosts mental clarity. Set up screen-free breaks and limit back-to-back meetings. Set up time slots without email and clearly communicate your availability expectations.
